What is the Equality of Rights Under the Law Ohio Ballot Initiative?

2.png

Equality of Rights Under the Law is a ballot initiative led by the citizens of Ohio. It seeks to protect the population of Ohio against discrimination.

Currently, Ohio's Constitution contains no equal rights protections, unlike 28 of our neighboring states. Instead, we rely on our ever-changing legislature to defend the rights of Ohio's citizens.

The Equality of Rights Under the Law Amendment would be the most inclusive equal rights amendment in the nation, ensuring our equal rights as Ohio citizens are never infringed upon.

How Can I Help?

We are currently early in the ballot initiative process, finalizing the language of our Amendment. We are looking for volunteers and donors who will be willing to help us in the future.

Our goal is to start collecting the initial signatures before the 2024 election, so we can have it certified immediately after.
